The honest line. Placeholders hide values, not context. For your most sensitive material, use Blind mode: the AI sees only structure and trends. Masked mode is pseudonymization, not anonymity: reversible placeholders are still personal data under privacy laws like GDPR.

Can I use ChatGPT or Claude with confidential company data?
Yes, if the AI never receives the data. OpenGamma replaces names, amounts and dates with placeholders before your AI sees anything, then restores them in your browser.
How do I make a board deck with AI without sharing financials?
Add your board pack to the OpenGamma vault, approve the placeholder version, and ask Claude or ChatGPT for the deck. You download a PowerPoint with the real numbers.
Does the AI ever see my real data?
Not the values you mask. It sees placeholders like [CLIENT_1]. Context can still hint at meaning, so use Blind mode for highly sensitive material.
Can OpenGamma read my documents?
No. Your documents are encrypted in your browser and we store only ciphertext. Only you hold the key. We keep the placeholder version you approved, which is what the AI sees.
